The local Chinese steel pipe prices have mostly fluctuated by small margins during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have rebounded slightly during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has increased a little and raw material prices have edged up lately, which caused most seamless pipe traders to slightly raise their quoted prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may indicate small fluctuations amid support from the cost side and the continuing weakness of demand.

Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have moved sideways or down slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity has remained weak. Traders in southern China have reduced prices a little in order to close more deals. Both supply and demand remain at low levels. In the past week, upstream steel strip prices first declined and then rebounded slightly. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may fluctuate slightly.
