Local Chinese steel pipe prices stable or up slightly

Local Chinese steel pipe prices have either moved sideways or risen slightly during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have followed a stable trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has remained at normal levels. Upstream billet prices have only fluctuated by small margins, leading most traders to keep their quoted prices stable. As for the week ahead, considering demand may improve before the Labor Day holiday, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may increase a little.  

Local Chinese welded pipe prices have moved up slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity has improved a little and is considered to be at normal levels. On the upstream side, prices of steel strip and other raw materials have indicated minor fluctuations. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may continue to move up by small margins.
