Seamless pipe prices have continued to decline in Romania amid sluggish buying activity and soft demand from end-users. Domestic and export quotations of Romanian seamless pipes have decreased by €10-20/mt ($13-26/mt) over the past month. Seamless pipe prices offered from Czech Republic have decreased by a maximum of €10/mt ($13/mt) over the past month. However, demand for Romanian seamless pipes in the domestic and export markets remains poor, and the market environment is unlikely to change in the coming month. Meanwhile, Romanian suppliers are unwilling to make additional cuts in prices as reductions do not yield any results.
Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €880-900/mt ($1,150-1,176/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.
Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €900-920/mt ($1,176-1,203/mt) FCA, 12"-14" seamless pipes are being offered at $930-960/mt ($1,216-1,255/mt) FCA, 16" seamless pipes are quoted at €1,030-1,040/mt ($1,346-1,359/mt) FCA, while 18"-20" pipes are at about €1,350-1,360/mt ($1,765-1,778/mt) FCA, all for August production.
Import offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €940-950/mt ($1,229-1,242/mt) CPT.
