The Romanian seamless pipe market remains sluggish. Given poor buying interest, seamless pipe suppliers in Romania have been granting discounts to buyers willing to book lots of over 200 mt.
Over the past month, export quotations of Romanian seamless pipes have declined by around €10-20/mt ($13-26/mt). The market fundamentals are expected to remain weak in the short term amid insufficient demand from consuming industries.
Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €950-980/mt ($1,216-1,254/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.
Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €970-1,000/mt ($1,242-1,280/mt) FCA, 12"-14" seamless pipes are quoted at €1,000-1,050/mt ($1,280-1,344/mt) FCA, while 16" pipes are at about €1,100-1,120/mt ($1,408-1,434/mt) FCA, all for December-January production.
