Spot market prices for US domestic HSS tubing have revised downward since our last report two weeks ago.

Current prices are being heard at approximately $81.50 cwt. ($1,797/mt or $1,630/nt), FOB mill, against $84 cwt. ($1,852/mt or $1,680/nt), FOB mill, on May 11.

Sources have confirmed that deals below this range are already available for large-tonnage orders, adding that they believe an additional revision is likely to come “sooner than later.”
