US HSS spot market prices revise downward

SteelOrbis sources have confirmed that the average spot market price for US domestic hollow structural sections (HSS) tubing has softened by approximately $5.00 cwt. ($110/mt or $100/nt) since our last report a week ago.

Current prices are trending at approximately $62.50 cwt. ($1,378/mt or $1,250/nt), FOB mill, although deals up to $1.50 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt) below this price point have been reported based on volume.
