US tube mills announce $150/nt price increase

US domestic HSS tube mills have announced they’ll be raising prices on all spot market orders by $7.50 cwt. ($165/mt or $150/nt) effective with all new orders. The announcement, which first announced by Atlas Tube, has since been followed by other players within the marketplace.

This is the second $7.50 cwt. increase announced this month, and the fourth price increase announced in the past seven weeks. The most recent announcement brings the average HSS spot market price to $76.50 ($1,687/mt -$1,530/nt), FOB mill.
