The American company AGCO, a manufacturer of agricultural equipment, will move part of its production next year from its plant in Hesston, Kansas to its plant in the central Mexican state of Querétaro, reports the press specialized in agribusiness.
“Production of small square balers, round balers, and rotary mowers will shift to AGCO’s Querétaro, México, facility beginning in 2025,” published the specialized website RuralRadio.com
The media outlet reported that this move is to optimize production. Hesston plant will continue to manufacture Massey Ferguson windrowers, large square balers, combines, and combine headers.
AGCO is the owner of the brands Massey Ferguson, Fendt, PTx, Valtra, among others.
It has production plants in China, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Finland, Algeria (Joint Venture), France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, United States, Argentina, Brazil, among others. In Mexico, it produces agricultural tractors from a new plant that opened in 2018 and replaced a 20-year-old plant.
