ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s steel sales volume exceeded 5.4 million mt in 2017

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steelmaker ArcelorMittal, has announced that in 2017 its steel sales volume exceeded 5.4 million mt, with finished steel products accounting for 64 percent of the total sales.

In the given year, the company’s main export destinations were Middle Eastern countries (39%), North and West Africa (16%) and Europe (8%). Meanwhile, steel sales to the domestic market accounted for around 20 percent of the company’s total sales in the same year despite the increasing steel imports from Russia, Moldova and Belarus.

During 2017, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih developed 14 new types of products, including nine types according to the standards of the domestic market, and five types according to the national standards of Peru, Singapore, Cameroon, the Netherlands and Chile, which enabled it to enter new markets.
