According to the data for the first half of 2010, Ukraine's exports of steel pipes decreased by 15 percent year on year to 557,050 mt, while its semi-finished steel product exports dropped by 1.6 percent year on year to about 5.905 million mt.
Meanwhile, in H1 this year, the country's exports of flat rolled steel increased by 25.8 percent to about 3.462 million mt, and its exports of long steel went up by 30.2 percent to about 2.924 million mt, both compared to the same period last year.
In addition, during the period in question, Ukraine registered an 18.6 percent increase in its pig iron exports to 771,350 mt, a 54.6 percent rise in its coke exports to 596,080 mt, a 53.1 percent growth in its iron ore exports to 15.607 million mt, and a 33.9 percent increase in its scrap exports to 396,490 mt, all compared to January-June 2009.
