ArcelorMittal SA to recommission Newcastle furnace in December
Africa's largest steel producer, ArcelorMittal South Africa announced that it expects to recommission the furnace at its Newcastle facility by the first week of December. ArcelorMittal SA stated that the repair works are progressing according to the plan.
According to the company statement, the latest estimate is a loss of 445,000 mt as a result of the incident.
