Australia initiates AD expiry review on imports of rebar from S. Korea and Spain

Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced that it has initiated an expiry review regarding antidumping measures on rebar imports from South Korea and Spain, which are due to expire on November 19, 2025.

The review, which was launched upon the application made by local producer InfraBuild, covers the period between October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024. The current antidumping measures, which were initially imposed in November 2015, are at 4.7 percent and 8.5 percent for South Korea and 9.4 percent and 11.8 percent for Spain.

The Antidumping Commission is expected to make a recommendation to the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology based on the outcome of the inquiry no later than May 13, 2025.

The products subject to the expiry review are currently classified under the following codes in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule 7213.10.00, 7214.20.00, 7227.90.10, 7227.90.90, 7228.30.10, 7228.30.90, and 7228.60.10.
