BMZ ships first product exports from new small-section rolling mill

Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has announced that products manufactured at its section-rolling mill No. 2 (SRM-2) have been shipped for export for the first time. Accordingly, 20 mt of wire rod have been sold to a customer in Bulgaria through Austria-based distributor Belmet, part of the distribution network of BMZ.

The first successful hot testing of equipment at the SRM-2 was accomplished on March 16. Since then, over 190 mt of marketable products have been produced. The greater part of products was supplied to Rechitsa Hardware Plant. On March 31, the first shipment for export was made.
