The Brazilian foreign trade authority CAMEX announced the imposition of antidumping duties on imports of high carbon, high resistance steel wire from China.

The tariff will be valid for five years, for the items usually classified under items 7217.10.19 and 7217.10.90 of the Mercosul classification list.

The antidumping duty was established at $563.77/mt for all Chinese exporters, with the exception of Silvery Dragon Prestressed Materials Co., Ltd., which will pay $124.33/mt.

The measure was requested by Belgo Bekaert Arames, a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal in association with Belgium’s Bekaert.
