Brazil's iron ore exports up by 16.4 percent in June

Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 33.79 million mt in June this year, increasing 16.4 compared to the same month of 2016, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore exports in June totaled $1.36 billion in value, increasing 26.1 percent year on year. 

In June, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 719,354 mt, down by 4.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while these exports were valued at $312.2 million, increasing by 29.9 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in June Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 312,083 metric tons, up by 24.6 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $205.97 million, growing by 53.3 percent from the June 2016 level.
