In July, Chinese finished steel exports totaled 4.44 million mt, indicating a month-on-month increase of 150,000 mt and a year-on-year decrease of 2.42 percent. In the January-July period, aggregate Chinese finished steel exports totaled 28.77 million mt, with a year-on-year increase of 2.3 percent.
In July, Chinese finished steel imports totaled 1.24 million mt, with a month-on-month increase of 40,000 mt and a year-on-year decrease of 11.43 percent. In the January-July period, aggregate steel imports of China totaled 9.27 million mt, with a year-on-year decrease of 5.7 percent.
In July, semi-finished steel was not exported from China, and semi-finished imports totaled 40,000 mt. In the January-July period, aggregate semi-finished steel imports of China totaled 320,000 mt, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.6 percent.
In July, Chinese metallurgical coke exports totaled 180,000 mt, indicating a month-on-month decrease of 140,000 mt. In the January-July period, aggregate coke exports from China totaled 2.63 million mt, with a year-on-year increase of 32.5 percent.
In July, iron ore imports into China totaled 54.55 million mt, showing a month-on-month increase of 3.46 million mt and a year-on-year increase of 6.54 percent. In the January-July period, aggregate iron ore imports into China totaled 388.63 million mt, indicating a year-on-year increase of 7.9 percent.
