Canada finds stainless steel sinks from China harm domestic industry

Friday, 25 May 2012 13:37:07 (GMT+3)   |

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has announced that it has determined that the dumping and subsidizing of certain stainless steel sinks from China caused injury to the domestic industry.

In January, Canada initiated an inquiry regarding the dumping and subsidizing of stainless steel sinks with a single drawn bowl imported from China. The petitioners were Novanni Stainless Inc. of Coldwater, Ontario, and Franke Kindred Canada Limited of Midland, Ontario.

Antidumping and countervailing duties will be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency on these goods. The Tribunal will issue the reasons for its finding on June 8, 2012.
