China’s auto consumption index down slightly to 78.6 in Sept from Aug

China’s automobile consumption index stood at 78.6 in September this year, slightly lower than 80.8 recorded in August, as announced by China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).

According to CADA, vehicle sales in October may be similar to the situation in September, while they are expected to perform well in general in the fourth quarter. In particular, 63.1 percent of vehicle dealers think that vehicle sales may see a year-on-year rise of five percent in the fourth quarter this year, while 16 percent of vehicle dealers believe the year-on-year rise may be higher than five percent though lower than 10 percent.
