China’s HRC output up 2.7 percent in January-November

In the January-November period this year, China’s hot rolled coil (HRC) production amounted to 195.086 million mt, increasing by 2.7 percent year on year, according to China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the same period, China’s cold rolled coil (CRC) production totaled 43.493 million mt, up 4.4 percent year on year.

In November alone, China’s hot rolled coil (HRC) production and cold rolled coil (CRC) production totaled 17.51 million mt and 4.179 million mt, up 9.5 percent and down 2.7 percent year on year, while up 2.85 percent and 0.29 percent month on month, respectively.

In November, HRC prices in the Chinese domestic market moved up first while edging down later. The highest price level for HRC in November was seen at RMB 3,660/mt ($509/mt) during November 8-11, and the lowest level during the month was observed during November 19 at RMB 3,570/mt ($496.5/mt).
