China’s new energy vehicle output up 110 percent in Q1

In March this year, China produced 25,246 new energy vehicles, up 54.8 percent year on year, including 18,818 pure electric passenger cars and 6,428 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 63.5 percent and 33.8 percent year on year, respectively, according to latest data issued by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
 
In the January-March period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 62,663 units, up 110 percent on year-on-year basis, including 46,348 pure electric passenger cars and 16,315 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 140 percent and 46.9 percent year on year, respectively.
