China's crude steel production in November totaled 47.2623 million mt, up 12.8558 million mt or 37.36 percent year on year. Average daily production during the month in question reached 1.5754 million mt, down by 93,800 mt or 5.62 percent month on month. Meanwhile, domestic crude steel production for the January-November period reached 518.1773 million mt, up 55.727 million mt or 12.05 percent year on year.
Taking imports and exports into consideration, the newly-added supply of crude steel to China's market in November totaled 45.7023 million mt, up 12.4334 million mt or 37.37 percent year on year. From January to November inclusive, the newly-added supply reached 513.0673 million mt, up 91.6654 million mt or 21.75 percent year on year.
In the month of November, China's exports of crude steel accounted for 6.03 percent of total national crude steel production; meanwhile, crude steel exports in the first eleven months of this year constituted 4.1 percent of total domestic production.
China's pig iron production in November totaled 44.8114 million mt, up 11.8806 million mt or 36.08 percent year on year. At the same time, total pig iron production in the January-November period reached 495.896 million mt, up 65.2839 million mt or 15.07 percent compared to the corresponding period in 2008.
China's finished steel production for November totaled 62.9521 million mt, up 19.961 million mt or 46.43 percent year on year. On the other hand, national finished steel production from January to November inclusive reached 628.3305 million mt, up 93.2295 million mt or 17.42 percent year on year.
