China’s scrap imports down 15 percent in January-August

In August this year, China imported 190,000 mt of scrap, down 26.3 percent year on year, according to monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-August period of the current year, China imported 1.35 million mt of scrap, decreasing by 15.0 percent year on year.
