China’s stainless crude steel output up slightly in Jan-Sept

In the January-September period this year, China’s stainless crude steel output amounted to 16.1304 million mt, up 108,300 mt or 0.68 percent year on year, as announced by the Stainless Steel Council of the China Special Steel Enterprises Association. Meanwhile, China’s imports and exports of stainless steel in the given period amounted to 548,300 mt and 2.6941 million mt, down 15.26 percent and 9.02 percent year on year, respectively.

In addition, in the January-September period of the current year China’s apparent consumption of stainless steel totaled 12.0486 million mt, up 263,500 mt or 2.24 percent year on year.
