In the January-February period this year, 94 medium-size and large shipbuilding enterprises in China realized an aggregate gross industrial output value of RMB 56.13 billion ($8.69 billion), down 0.2 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI) on March 17.
In the given period, the shipbuilding enterprises in question achieved aggregate exports totaling RMB 24.36 billion ($3.78 billion) in value, down 2.1 percent year on year.
In the January-February period, the shipbuilding enterprises saw an aggregate operating revenue of RMB 35.7 billion ($5.53 billion), down 7.5 percent, and a total gross profit of RMB 160 million ($24.78 million), decreasing by 46.7 percent year on year.
