In the January-April period this year, 94 medium-size and large shipbuilding enterprises in China realized an aggregate gross industrial output value of RMB 135.0 billion ($20.7 billion), down 1.5 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI).
In the given period, the shipbuilding enterprises in question achieved aggregate exports totaling RMB 54.0 billion ($8.28 billion) in value, down 2.5 percent year on year.
In the January-April period, the shipbuilding enterprises recorded an aggregate operating revenue of RMB 89.0 billion ($13.65 billion), down five percent, and a total gross profit of RMB1.14 billion ($0.17 billion), decreasing by 35 percent, both year on year.
