Australian mining company Kangaroo Resources Limited has announced a record monthly production from its 99 percent-owned Mamahak coal mine in Indonesia with 51,123 mt of coal produced, based on a final survey, during September, indicating a 70 percent increase over the August production figure.
The production rate in September represents an important milestone for Kangaroo's operating subsidiary, Mamahak Coal Mining (MCM), as operations at Mamahak continue to ramp up towards the targeted commercial production rate.
At the end of September, 152,000 mt of coal had been stockpiled at Mamahak, with preliminary barging having commenced during September. A total of approximately 5,200 mt of coal was transported to Bayan Resources' Balikpapan Coal Terminal during the month.
