Coal shipments by China’s railways down 14.8 percent in May

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has announced that in May this year coal shipments by Chinese railways amounted to 142 million mt, down 14.8 percent year on year.
 
In the January-May period of the current year, coal shipments by Chinese railways totaled 765 million mt, decreasing by 11.1 percent year on year.
