CSC’s steel output up slightly in August over July

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in August this year its steel production volume totaled 672,768 metric tons, increasing by 0.95 percent compared to the previous month and down 15 percent year on year.
In August, CSC's steel product sales volume amounted to 716,487 metric tons, down 6.2 percent compared to July this year and decreasing by 6.6 percent compared to August 2011.

In the month in question, the steelmaker's sales revenues amounted to NTD 16.35 billion ($547.5 million), decreasing by 7.3 percent month on month and down 20 percent year on year.
