Erdemir Group inks letter of intent with first foreign partner

Turkey-based integrated steelmaker Erdemir Group has announced that it has signed a letter of intent for its first international joint venture with the German technology company The Linde Group in order to establish a new air separation unit (ASU) in İskenderun that will supply the additional industrial gases required for its subsidiary İsdemir's production and to reduce costs with effective and efficient management.
 
With the new unit that will start its operations in less than 20 months, Isdemir's oxygen production capacity and nitrogen production capacity will increase by 14 percent and 45 percent, respectively.
