European commercial vehicle registrations up 14.6 percent in April

In April this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 14.6 percent year on year to 195,013 units, rising for the sixteenth consecutive month on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). 
 
In April this year, growth was sustained across all commercial vehicle segments. Italy (+32.5%) confirmed its positive momentum by displaying a substantial rise, followed by Spain (+19.5%), Germany (+12.3%) and the UK (+11.2%). 
 
In the first four months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 758,566 units, up 12.8 percent on year-on-year basis. Italy (+29.2 percent), Spain (+12.9 percent), France (+10.1 percent), Germany (+10 percent) and the UK (+4.1 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
