In May this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 16.4 percent year on year to 187,134 units, rising for the seventeenth consecutive month on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In May this year, growth was sustained across all commercial vehicle segments. Italy (+35.9%) confirmed its positive momentum by displaying a substantial rise, followed by France (+27.2%) and Spain (+17.3%).
In the first five months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 946,128 units, up 13.5 percent on year-on-year basis. Italy (+30.6 percent), Spain (+13.9 percent), France (+13.1 percent), Germany (+10.2 percent) and the UK (+3.8 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
