European commercial vehicle registrations up 17.8 percent in February

In February this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 17.8 percent year on year to 160,062 units, rising for the fourteenth consecutive month on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). 
 
In February this year, growth was sustained across all commercial vehicle segments. Italy (+30.4%) confirmed its positive momentum by displaying a substantial rise, followed by Spain (+17.6%), Germany (+16.2%), France (+13.9%) and the UK (+3.7%). 
 
In the first two months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 320,833 units, up 15.4 percent on year-on-year basis. Italy (+27.1 percent), Spain (+19.1 percent), Germany (+13.9 percent) and France (+12.8 percent) recorded increases, while the UK (+0.6 percent) remained almost stable, all year on year.
