France’s steel product export value down 23.5 percent in Jan-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €4.76 billion, decreasing by 23.5 percent year on year.

In the given period, France exported €581.09 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 1.3 percent, €261.39 million of cold rolled steel bars - rising by 11.0 percent, €299.82 million of cold rolled steel strip - down 3.2 percent, €159.12 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by 11.5 percent, and €373.44 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 6.2 percent, all compared to the same period of 2022.
