France’s steel product import value down 7.8 percent in Jan-Apr

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-April period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €3.60 billion, decreasing by 7.8 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €748.45 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 5.9 percent, €177.96 million of cold rolled steel bars - down by 17.3 percent, €254.55 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 23.4 percent, €180.53 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 10.5 percent, and €939.75 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 5.1 percent, all compared to the same period of 2023.
