France's steel product import value down 10 percent in H1

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the first half the current year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €3.79 billion, decreasing by 10 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €789.59 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 21.5 percent, €263.86 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 5.2 percent, €188.82 million of cold drawn wire - remaining almost stable, €181.76 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 11.3 percent, and €752.2 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 6.8 percent, all compared to the January-June period of 2015.
