France’s steel product import value down 18.0 percent in Jan-Apr

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-April period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €3.90 billion, decreasing by 18.0 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €786.68 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 7.1 percent, €212.60 million of cold rolled steel bars - down by 2.7 percent, €331.68 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 17.4 percent, €201,41 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 17.6 percent, and €888.94 million of metal structures and parts - decreasing by 5.1 percent, all compared to the same period of last year.
