French crude steel output down 11.1 percent in January-April

In the first four months of this year, French crude steel output decreased by 11.1 percent year on year to 4.74 million mt, according to the latest data released by the French Steel Federation (FFA). 
 
Meanwhile, in April this year, French crude steel production amounted to 966,000 mt, falling by 26.4 percent year on year. In the same month, crude steel production in France using electric arc furnaces (EAFs) fell by 16.4 percent year on year to 418,000 mt, while crude steel production using blast furnaces (BFs) totaled 548,000 mt, decreasing by 32.6 percent year on year.
