In the January-July period of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $1 billion, including exports worth $172.6 million, up 24.8 percent, and imports worth $828.15 million, increasing 15.1 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the first seven months of this year, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked fourth among Georgia's most exported products to Turkey, amounting to 35,235 metric tons, falling 17.35 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $17.14 million, up 6.4 percent year on year.
