In the January-November period of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $1.55 billion, including exports worth $216.93 million, up by 11.4 percent, and imports worth $1.33 billion, increasing by 9.3 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the first eleven months of this year, semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel ranked third among Georgia's most exported products to Turkey, amounting to 46,215 metric tons, falling by 23.5 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these exports totaled $22.04 million, down 9.3 percent year on year.
