German crude steel output increases by 5.3 percent in January-November

In November this year, Germany’s crude steel output increased by 8.6 percent year on year to 2.91 million metric tons, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl). In the January-November period this year, crude steel production in Germany went up by 5.3 percent year on year to 34.49 million mt.

Germany’s pig iron output amounted to 1.88 million mt in November this year, up 7.7 percent, while in the January-November period it increased by 2.7 percent to 22.28 million mt, both year on year.

The country’s hot rolled steel output grew by 7.6 percent to 2.49 million mt in November, while rising by 3.9 percent to 29.52 million mt in the first 11 months this year, both compared to the same periods of the previous year.
