Germany's commercial vehicle output down one percent in September

In September this year, commercial vehicle registrations in the German market totaled 28,690 units, down 6.3 percent month on month and increasing by five percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first nine months of this year, Germany's commercial vehicle registrations increased by 11 percent year on year, totaling 264,790 units.
 
According to the VDA, in September this year 30,790 commercial vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 90.6 percent and a year-on-year decline of one percent. German commercial vehicle output in the January-September period of the current year amounted to 236,050 units, declining one percent compared to the same period last year.
 
In the given month, a total of 23,130 commercial vehicles were exported from Germany, up by 80.1 percent month on month and decreasing by one percent compared to September last year. In the first nine months of the current year, German commercial vehicle exports amounted to 178,130 units, declining by one percent on year-on-year basis.
