In July this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.5 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for June showed an increase of 1.1 percent compared to May, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
As compared to June, in July this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 2.3 percent, while the production of capital goods dropped by 3.6 percent and output of consumer goods was down by 2.6 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods decreased by 0.8 percent, while energy production increased by 2.6 percent and construction output saw a rise of 1.8 percent, all month on month.
