Germany’s industrial output up 0.8 percent in April from March

In April this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 0.8 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for March showed a decrease of 1.1 percent compared to February, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
 
As compared to March, in April this year production excluding energy and construction increased by 1.1 percent, while the production of capital goods grew by 2.2 percent and output of consumer goods was up by 0.4 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods remained stable, while energy production increased by 1.1 percent and construction output saw a fall of 1.7 percent, all month on month.
