On October 5, one of the largest welded pipe manufacturers in Italy, Acciaitubi, signed an agreement with Germany’s Klöckner & Co., as reported by local Italian media.
Accordingly, through its registered trademark Nexigen, Klöckner & Co. will be able to supply Acciaitubi with 500 mt of steel produced with reduced CO2 emissions. The products produced by Acciaitubi from the supplied steel are to be exclusively used as parts of sprinkler systems for commercial properties across Europe for the French company Uxello Group and Dutch-based ZNB. Klöckner & Co. is one of the world's largest distributors of steel services and metal products.
The CEOs of the two companies, Marco Berera of Acciaitubi, and Guido Kerkhoff of Klöckner & Co., said they were happy with the cooperation and that it showed their commitment to a common goal, i.e., environmental sustainability.
