European Commission approves JV between AMDS Italia and CLN

Wednesday, 25 March 2015 12:22:53 (GMT+3)   |   Brescia

The European Commission (EC) has approved the creation of a joint venture between ArcelorMittal Distribution Solutions Italia (AMDS Italia), a subsidiary of global steelmaker ArcelorMittal Group, and CLN, an Italian group which processes and markets of flat steel for various user sectors including the car industry. Their JV will be focused on the distribution of carbon flat steel through service centers in Italy.

The operation, the EC commented, is not likely to distort competition, given the limited market share of the JV and the fact that the two companies have already been working together.
