Germany's passenger car output down 11 percent in October

In October this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market totaled 272,900 units, increasing by four percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-October period of this year, Germany's new passenger car registrations increased by two percent year on year, totaling 2,884,700 units.

According to the VDA, in October 414,100 passenger cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a year-on-year fall of 11 percent. German passenger car output in the January-October period of this year amounted to 4,690,300 units, decreasing by three percent compared to the same period last year.

In October, a total of 315,000 passenger cars were exported from Germany, decreasing by 11 percent compared to October last year. In the first ten months of the current year, German passenger car exports amounted to 3,616,200 units, falling two percent year on year.
