Indian automotive companies will invest $750 million in Mexico

Companies in the automotive industry will invest at least $750 million in Mexico, this month, $550 million will be invested in the first five months of the year and another $200 million will be invested in 2025, according to the commercial aggregate of the Embassy of India in Mexico, Prasad Shinde.

“Rane Madras invested in Aguascalientes and is investing another $50 million more. Other companies that manufacture components for the automotive industry will arrive in Mexico and invest in San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato and also in Aguascalientes. There are more than $200 million for the next year”, says the diplomat in an interview with the Mexican newspaper El Financiero.

Of the $550 million, the majority of this capital is the reinversion of profits of companies that operate in Mexico.

The Indian official says that companies like Sona Corp, specialized in solutions for electric vehicles or the company TitanX, specialized in power trains or Tata Motors Cars are interested in investing in Mexico.

Separately, the executive president of the National Auto Parts Industry (INA) business chamber, Francisco González, says that he recently met in Mexico with 10 companies from India and next week he will meet with 15 companies from Singapore that could invest in the country. In addition, meetings are scheduled with companies from Germany, France, Spain, among other countries.
