Indian mineral production recorded a growth of 7.6 percent in June 2023, over corresponding month of previous year, according to data released by ministry of mines on Friday, August 25.
The cumulative growth during April-June 2023 was recorded at 6.3 percent over corresponding period of previous year, the statement said.
Important minerals showing positive growth during June 2023 over June 2022 were manganese ore 27 percent, magnesite 21.6 percent, gold 18.8 percent, chromite 16.6 percent, iron ore 14 percent, limestone 10.7 percent, coal 9.7 percent, lead concentrate 7.6 percent, natural gas 3.6 percent and bauxite 1.9 percent.
Other important minerals showing negative growth include petroleum crude -0.5 percent, zinc concentrate -1.5 percent, copper concentrate -3.5 percent, lignite -29.6 percent and phosphorite -33.3 percent.
