India’s Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has supplied 50 mt of 21LN high grade stainless steel to national transporter Indian Railways (IR) for fabrication of high-speed trains, a company statement said on Friday, June 28.

The company said that it was fully ready to continue to supply the high-grade stainless steel for use in fabricating trainsets or underframes to IR to enhance the capacity for making high-speed trains currently being introduced on routes across the country.

The supplied 21LN stainless steel grade is noted for its corrosion-resistance, higher strength, and durability, it said.

Jindal Stainless has supplied about 50 mt of stainless steel of 21LN grade for 12 coaches of the project. “We will supply more material if IR plans to continue with the high-end grade for more high-speed trains or underframe construction,” the statement said.
