Indian government-run company KIOCL Limited has shut down its 3 million mt per year iron ore pellet plant at Mangalore in southern India, company sources said on Wednesday, June 12.

The plan has been shut down owing to adverse market conditions and the downward trend of ex-India pellet prices, the sources said.

No expected date for resumption of operation of the plant was disclosed by company sources.
